We Leverage Data to Empower
Lives

The PSEO Coalition generates, analyzes, and shares employment data that demonstrates the value of higher education. This data is publicly available through a dashboard on the U.S. Census Bureau’s website.

“The collaborations between higher education and the U.S. Census Bureau are not just about charting clear outcomes; they’re a testament to the intrinsic value of higher education in shaping futures. Together, we’re illuminating pathways that lead students to success, and demonstrate the undeniable worth of higher education through data-driven outcomes.”

Dr. David Troutman
PSEO Founder and Deputy Commissioner for Academic Affairs at the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board

What We Do

We use data transparently so everyone — from students and families to higher education administrators and government officials — can make informed decisions about postsecondary education and career paths and lessen student debt.

Our Methodology

We collaborate with the Longitudinal Employer-Household Dynamics program at the U.S. Census to link higher ed data with national unemployment insurance wages to provide detailed earnings and employment outcomes for college graduates.

Join the Coalition

Our work helps employees understand what they can earn if they pursue specific degrees in various fields and equips them with tools to advocate for themselves when they enter the workforce. Our goal is to expand membership to more than 40 states and 1,100 institutions.

Engage with the Postsecondary Employment Outcomes Coalition

Our efforts empower policy choices that lead to less student debt and more graduates with in-demand skills. Are you interested in learning more or becoming a member? We’d love to hear from you.
