We Leverage Data to Empower Lives
The PSEO Coalition generates, analyzes, and shares employment data that demonstrates the value of higher education. This data is publicly available through a dashboard on the U.S. Census Bureau’s website.
The Postsecondary Employment Outcomes Coalition
The PSEO Coalition is a network of representatives from the institutions, college and university systems, and state agencies that partner with the U.S. Census to provide data for the PSEO project. Coalition members engage virtually and in-person to network and share ideas about methods to measure and share the outcomes of postsecondary education with decision makers of all types.

What We Do
We use data transparently so everyone – from students and families to higher education administrators and government officials – can make informed decisions about postsecondary education and career paths and lessen student debt.
Our Methodology
We collaborate with the Longitudinal Employer-Household Dynamics program at the U.S. Census to link higher education data with national unemployment insurance wage data to provide detailed earnings and employment outcomes for college graduates.
Join the Coalition
Our work helps employees understand data on wages earned by graduates who pursued degrees in various fields and the industries in which these graduates are employed. These data equip them with tools to advocate for themselves as employees. Increased access to data across the country enhances their usability and our goal is to engage 50 states and territories in PSEO data sharing.
The Power of Collaboration Between Higher Education and the U.S. Census Bureau
The collaborations between higher education and the U.S. Census Bureau are not just about charting clear outcomes; they’re a testament to the intrinsic value of higher education in shaping futures. Together, we’re illuminating pathways that lead students to success, and demonstrate the undeniable worth of higher education through data-driven outcomes.
